From the Office of the City Manager

David Waltz, City Manager, City of Blue AshTo start, I'd like to congratulate the Blue Ash companies that recently made the 2014 Inc. 5000 list.  With 10 of the 35 Greater Cincinnati firms on the list, our city has the most fastest growing privately held companies in the region!

I'd also like to extend my congratulations to another rapidly growing Blue Ash-based company. CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services recently opened an office in San Francisco and in San Paulo, Brazil earlier this year.  Offices are also in the works for Australia and two additional European locations in the next 12 to 18 months.

I'm pleased to announce that our business community has grown since our last newsletter with the addition of several new companies.   Microsoft will be relocating its sales office to 4445 Lake Forest Drive and Forward Technologies, Inc. moved from Springfield, Ohio to 6130 Interstate Circle  this summer. In addition, Neyer Properties is filling up Vista Business Center on Alliance Road with new tenants, including  The Urology Group, endevis and River Valley Physicians and recently purchased Fountain Pointe I and II, which are located at the intersection of Cornell Road and Reed Hartman Highway.

Blue Ash also added two new foreign-owned firms to its roster.  Nordic Industries Development, which specializes in market and sales channel consulting solutions, will be the first Finnish firm in Blue Ash when the company moves into its new North American headquarters at 4445 Lake Forest Drive early next year. Liftra USA, Inc. a solutions provider of special lifting and transportation tasks within the turbine industry is the first Danish firm in the Greater Cincinnati region. The company's new facility is located at 10831 Joslyn Drive and includes assembly, storage and office space for the service and maintenance of self-hoisting cranes and Liftra products.

Please join me in welcoming all of these new companies to Blue Ash. It is very exciting that our business community continues to grow and the investments that are being made by companies in Nordic countries illustrates how desirable our location is for foreign-owned firms.  Be sure to read more about a few of our new firms in the Blue Ash Business Highlights section in this newsletter.

On August 9th, we celebrated the completion of Phase I of Summit Park with an initial  unveiling at a community gathering.  The event featured the park's infrastructure, great lawn, promenade walkways, viewing pergolas, and children's playground. We're currently in the process of starting Phase 2 which includes the construction of the community center, glass canopy  and a fine dining establishment.  I think everyone will agree that Summit Park and our two new residential communities, Creekside Pointe and the Great Traditions development on Plainfield Road are making Blue Ash even more beautiful and vibrant than ever before.

Stay tuned for more!
