Non-Profit Spotlight

Operation Give Back

Operation Give Back is the featured non-profit for this edition of the Blue Ash Advance Newsletter. Operation Give Back (OGB), located in Blue Ash on Reed Hartman Highway, was founded in 2002 by former Procter and Gamble Executive, Lee Langston. His goal was to serve disadvantaged youth as well as children who just needed a network of caring adults to mentor and tutor them. OGB helps children reach their potential by offering the following services:
  • Mentoring and life skills training
  • Reading program in the Hazelwood Community Center
  • Summer camps focused on reading and math for children
  • Teen Summit with sessions that address teen issues
  • Girls on the Run, a program designed to empower young girls
  • Holiday Free Store, providing families with food clothing and toys during the holidays

OGB programs are supported by volunteers who provide services to over 300 individuals annually. In 2007, OGB received the Sycamore School Board’s “Making a Difference Award” and has been featured in the Business Courier’s Diversity Journal. If you want to learn more about Operation Give Back and the impact they are making in the community, contact them at 489-2023 or ogiveback@fuse.net.
