ClaimLinx

ClaimLinx helps small businesses save money on health insurance. ClaimLinx

Christy and Thomas Quigley know that every dollar a small business saves on health insurance helps the bottom line. The husband and wife have a combined 42 years in the insurance industry and through their own small company Blue-Ash based ClaimLinx, help others get the most out of their health care dollars, for less.

ClaimLinx, located at 10260 Alliance Road, since 2004 has worked with companies to help them cut costs on employee health insurance. As a consultant and third-party benefit administrator, ClaimLinx works with companies to help them implement an IRS rule that lets employers pay providers for medical costs their employees and their dependents incur. It allows employers to purchase less expensive, higher deductible insurance. This allows employers to pay providers directly for the difference between the old and new deductibles.

The typical company ClaimLinx works with has 20 to 30 employees, but some clients have up to 250 employees, Christy said. On average, companies save up to $2,000 per employee each year.

"We put the focus on the small business because they haven't been provided this type of information in the past. We go in and talk to them about who provides their insurance, and design a plan that work best for them," she said. "Most are blue collar-companies – they are the ones who are hurting the most – in construction, manufacturing and auto companies."

The company can also administer the plan.

Christy has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry; previously she worked for Anthem Blue Cross Shield as a Marketing Research Analyst. Thomas has 22 years experience and previously owned his own insurance company. They have 10 employees.
