David Waltz has been the City Manager of Blue Ash since 2006 and oversees a budget of $45 million along with 400 full-time and part-time employees. Blue Ash is a premier suburb of Cincinnati USA, and has been rated twice as one of the Top 50 Fabulous Places to Raise a Family in America and among FORTUNE Small Business magazine’s 100 best places in America. The City also boasts award winning amenities such as the Blue Ash Golf Course (Top 50 Public Golf Course in the U.S.), Cooper Creek Event Center, Blue Ash Recreation Center, and the new Summit Park. Blue Ash is also home to over 2,000 businesses including Procter and Gamble, Ethicon Endo Surgery, and Kroger.
David is a Pennsylvania native with a master’s degree in administration from Wright State University and an undergraduate degree from Gannon University. His government experience began as executive director of the Shelby County Planning Commission where he worked with the Honda Motor Company on a $100 million expansion project. He later became the City of Silverton’s first City Manager and successfully managed the city toward fiscal health and established the Silverton Development Corporation. During his 25+ year career, he has been involved with numerous economic development projects involving clients such as Honda, Citigroup and Sunny Delight, as well as smaller neighborhood and main street revitalization projects.
